Domaine de Mourchon

The tiny, beautiful village of Seguret, nestled in to the hills on the north-eastern edge of the wine-making plateau of villages just part Gigondas and Vacqueyras, is home to several makers of great value Cotes-du-Rhone wines.  The village is one of the most picturesque and scenic, even in this stunning area, and is renowned for making early-drinking, full-flavoured wines that deliver great value for money.

Domaine de Mourchon enjoys around 20 hectares of old (40-60 years) vines, mostly Grenache but also some Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan planted on clay, lime and sandstone soils, and a state-of-the-art modern winery.  The wines are aged mostly in concrete vats, with a little old oak and foudres employed for some luxury cuvees.
