Product Description

From a 3 hectare plot on the Cote Brune, adjacent Guigal's famous 'La Turque', planted on schist and mica soils.  Gorgeous, fine and fragrant aromas of bacon fat, ripe plums, minerals and white flower blossom, which follow through on to the palate and are both intense yet balanced and elegant, not overwhelming.  Shows a hint of secondary development, which is a great complexing aspect to the rich primary fruit.  Compelling and complex.  Ripe, very fine, yet persistent tannins, very good complexity already and a very long finish.  Promises a great deal.  Delicious.  96 points, drink now to 2026 (April 2013).

Other critics:  96 points, Robert Parker (TWA).
