Overview:

First things first - there is no Chateau at Duhart-Milon.  Owned by the Rothschild family (the Lafite scion of the clan, or empire), having been purchased in 1962, it is only in relatively recent times - certainly the past 25 years, and perhaps even less - that Duhart-Milon has warranted its status as Pauillac’s sole fourth-growth.  But today the wines are very good, and certainly in 2009, verge on true excellence.
