Tasting notes

PINOT NOIR

2009:  Stunning fine aromatics of plum, red cherry and spice.  Rich and ripe, yet very fine and elegant on the palate, with impressive complexity and depth, this is a masterpiece of ethereal refinement whilst delivering good fruit and power.  93 points, drink 2012-2020.

2008:  Fine and fragrant aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, hints of earth and mineral spice.  On the palate the wine is quite reserved and elegant, showing pure, deep fruit flavours of dark and blue berry fruits, very fine tannins and fresh acidity.  There is very good complexity, and a lengthy finish.  And a wonderful savoury element to the finish.  Lovely.  92 points, drink now-2014.
