Holm Oak

holm-oak.jpgEstablished in 1983 and planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, today it is run by Rebecca and Tim Duffy, has expanded to around 12 hectares of vines and produces an impressive range of at least 14 distinct wines from nine separate varieties (along with several ciders).  Both viticulture and winemaking is relatively hands-off, with organic and biodynamic practices embraced, and an open-mindedness to trials and experimentation in the winery.  Throughout, the emphasis is on producing clean, pure fruited wines that express the site as transparently as possible.  Above all, the wines must deliver enjoyment and drinkability!
