2017 Henschke - Hill Of Roses
Produced from a 0.9ha block of Shiraz planted in 1989 within the Hill Of Grace vineyard. The cuttings were selected by Prue Henschke from the very best of the ‘Grandfathers’, the original 1860s vines. This year the wine was matured in 25% new and 75% older oak hogsheads, 89% French and 11% American for 18 months prior to blending and bottling.
Other critics: 96+ points, Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate).
