PREMIUM EUROPEAN REDS -
Here’s a terrific and easy way to impress any winelover or collector, with four of our favourite European reds for drinking (or cellaring!) this winter. This mixed dozen contains three bottles each of:
- 2019 JOSEPH FAIVELEY Bourgogne Rouge (Burgundy, France)
- 2019 DJP ‘Petalos’ Mencia (Bierzo, Spain)
- 2018 CASANOVA di NERI ‘IR’ Rosso di Montalcino (Tuscany, Italy)
- 2019 VINCENT PARIS Crozes-Hermitage (Rhone Valley, France)
The red Burgundy is lighter-bodied, full-fruited style, delicious and accessible already. Mencia from Atlantic Spain is a beautiful savoury, highly-perfumed lighter red with the texture and flavour of cool-climate Shiraz. The Rosso di Montalcino is a terrific, savoury medium-bodied red with plenty of dark cherry and dried herb flavours. And finally the Crozes-Hermitage, entirely Shiraz, is a medium to dull-bodied red, packed with minerals and fresh acidity to compliment the ripe, red berry fruits. All bases are covered with this selection.
